We offer several different firearms with attachments on our website. Check out our Light and Laser attachment options here. The make and model of the light or laser are specifically listed alongside the make and model of the firearm. If MRDS is also accommodated, it will be listed as such.
We mold all of our holsters to the specifications of the firearm and that same principle applies to any laser attachment. The most common series of questions we see about laser attachments will be addressed here.
ShapeShift Modular Holsters, because of the way the retention was designed, will not accommodate any lights or lasers.
Rapid Force Duty Holsters and Rapid Force Lvl 2 Slim Holsters are light bearing, but please be sure to check the specific lights accommodated by clicking the question mark next to the drop down box for light bearing.

My attachment isn't listed- can you make it?
We do not do custom orders for specific set ups, but are constantly working on new options for release. Our shells have to undergo extensive testing to ensure fit and safety. Much of what determines our next targets are the popularity of that specific attachment in combination with that specific firearm, the number of requests we get for that combination and fitment testing. Fitment testing, for example, has found that our Cloak Series does not support larger lights, particularly if the width of the light is more than the width of the slide. This causes the firearm to rock in the holster because the retention is based on the light rather than the slide and trigger guard.
When will you have my set up available?
We are working on having much more light and laser accommodations in the future. Be sure to sign up for our email newsletter to get the latest updates on releases. Beyond that, we do not have a current release schedule. If it is a larger light, it may not be possible to accommodate in our Cloak Series.
Will something else work?
Maybe? This one is a difficult question to answer without specifics in makes and models of both firearm and attachment. Some light and laser manufacturers have different models for color of laser or lumen level on the light, but use the same basic housing. Best thing is to check the make and model you have against what we mold for and compare shape and size. The housing must be the same shape and size for it to potentially work. Some variation on model numbers can mean light and laser combos, which alter the specification. Most higher lumen light models are bigger. Some lasers will have different housings for green and red lasers. Be advised that if we do not list your specific make and model, we are unable to guarantee fitment or safety.
Can I modify to make it work?
You can do what you want, depending on your level of comfort. Please be aware that Rapid Force, ShapeShift, Low Pro, Photon and Grip Tuck series of holsters will not cover modifications under warranty- nearly all light and laser modifications we've seen for these series have not worked out. Each option lised for Rapid Force, for example, has been extensively tested. If it isn't on the list, we haven't tested it- or did and it didn't meet standards. Our Cloak Series, however, will be covered under warranty- just send the shell back to us if it doesn't work out and we'll swap it out for you. Again, we are not making any guarantees for fitment or safety with modified gear. Here are some things to keep in mind if you are going to do it anyway:
- Crimson Trace Grips are some of the easier options to modify- just take the shell off the holster base, mark in pencil where the laser lines up on the shell and notch that portion out with a Dremel tool or hobby knife and smooth the cut with some sandpaper.
- Be aware of the thickness of the light versus the thickness of the slide- this can impact fitment and retention significantly.
- A heat gun on a low setting or a hair dryer on a high setting are enough to soften the Boltaron shell to reshape it. Google some how-to videos to get an ideal of what is involved.
- Many of the Streamlight accommodations we offer in Cloak Series will have a basic rectangle shape and tend work with similar shaped lights and lasers provided there isn't a substantial width difference. Total height of the firearm is something to consider if you have a light we accommodate for, but not your specific gun.
Ultimately, shell modifications are dependent on the users' comfort and confidence level. We recognize that making modifications is not ideal. The ideal option would be to have something that would work for each possible combination of firearms and attachments, so each user has options with our holsters. That is where what is ideal and what is feasible tend to diverge. We are well aware that many more folks out there are rocking lights, lasers and optics and hope to have some good options for you in the future if you don't see it on our list right now.
