Quoted Approximate Lead Time

So you have placed an order or are considering placing an order with Alien Gear Holsters. Here we will go over some important points that will help you know what to look for in terms of lead time and better understand why the lead time is a quote and not a guarantee. 

The first thing to know is that we hand build all of our products to order in Post Falls, Idaho. That means we do not just go take your product(s) off of a shelf. We build your products after you buy them.  With order volume fluctuations, the quoted lead time may be more or less than what was quoted on the web site before you purchased.

We have heard that there is no clear indicator of our lead time on our site and this is because not all products have the same build time. For example anything sewing heavy like Shoulder Holster or Low-Pro Belly Band are much more sewing intensive compared to an order containing a Cloak Tuck 3.5 or ShapeShift 4.0 IWB. The best indicator you will see in respect to current lead time and when you can expect your order to arrive, will be on the checkout page where you choose a shipping method. This date will incorporate both estimated lead time and ship times.

In your order confirmation Email you should get a estimated ship date as opposed the estimated delivery date shown at checkout. This too is important to know that it is as accurate of a quote as we can provide at the time and is subject to fluctuation. 

Different products are assigned a lead time weekly. These are driven by the current weeks performance, any material delays, and any institutional orders i.e. Amazon, Dealers, etc. The product with the longest lead time will be what your order goes off of. 

We always strive to be open and honest with this lead time but sometimes unforeseen challenges, constraints or delays can happen. It is during these times that we ask for your patience while we work through these and build your order. There are no shortcuts to greatness and your order and trust is very important to us.
