Our Single Mag Carrier, Single Cloak Mag Carrier, and the Double Cloak Mag Carrier all use the same Cloak Mag Carrier Buckets. This means that they all use the same method to adjust the retention.
Check out the Mag Carrier Comparison Guide for the differences between these options.
To adjust the retention on your mag bucket, start by removing any belt clips and the neoprene backer (if applicable).
Next, retrieve the Allen Key from under the button slide. When brand new, there should be a bright green sticker to indicate where the Allen key is.
It will be seated in there pretty firmly, so the first couple times it is removed, we recommend taking a pen or pencil to stick in the notch on the side of the bucket shown below- that will pop out the allen key a little easier than trying to pry it out with a fingernail.
The Allen key can be used to turn the three screws to either tighten or loosen the retention. Some may prefer to have the bottom screw tighter than the two top screws so the magazine is more aggressively held at the bottom of the bucket rather than at the top or opening.
This retention adjustment is to refine the sizing to the specific magazine and the retention you may want. If there is too much or too little retention, make sure the correct Mag Carrier Bucket Size was selected.
The slide plate will have the caliber and stack size listed:
