Roswell IWB and OWB holsters are easy to clean and maintain. Periodic cleaning is recommended to mitigate wear and tear on the firearm- how often is a personal preference and subject to the conditions in which it is worn. Dust filled environments, or hot and humid climates mean more frequent cleaning. Roswell holsters can be cleaned with soap and water or wiped off with a damp cloth.
If using the Wedge, full submersion in water is not recommended. The wedge can be wiped off with a damp cloth or sanitizing wipe.
Running a clean damp cloth through the holster in between deep cleanings will help remove lint and dust on the inside of the holster. This is highly recommended to keep the firearm finish from wearing over time. Holstering every day will wear the finish of the gun over time, no matter the holster type. Abrasives such as dust and dirt will exacerbate the amount of wear on the points where the holster rubs against the firearm.
The hardware is corrosion resistant due to a zinc coating but if the coating wears off the screws and nuts can rust. Be sure to reapply medium retention thread lock to screw threads after any retention or belt clip adjustments.
Proper maintenance of the holster is within the user's responsibility to check and very proper functioning daily. This includes the tightness of the screws, retention of the holster, wear and tear of the exterior and interior components, and any hardware. If any of these components are unable to function or you feel you have compromised the integrity and use of the holster, please do not continue to use it and contact Alien Gear Holsters for warranty instructions.
