ShapeShift Holster Shell Parts

You've received your ShapeShift Holster and now are wondering what that extra piece in the bag is for. 

The holster itself is fully assembled out of the package for you, all you need to adjust is the retention to your liking. The additional part is not needed with the specific holster ordered.  The intent is to provide you with the ShapeShift Shell parts needed for our Expansion Packs, which are alternate ways to carry without the need to purchase the full holster.

If you ordered a holster that can be concealed (IWB, OWB Slide, Appendix), you'll have another shell half because your holster uses the back trigger guard part. Set aside that extra half someplace safe for future use.

To assemble the half shell configuration, remove the Twist Locks and slide the shell halves apart being careful of pinch points.  Slide the trigger guard part onto the shell half that has the Adjustable Retention Unit and add the Twist Lock.  The second Twist Lock will be added to secure the Shift Shell to the holster base desired.

If you ordered an open carry holster (Paddle, Drop Leg, Backpack), you'll have a smaller trigger guard part because the holster ordered uses the two halves of the ShiftShell. Again, this piece will simply be stored safely for future use.
