We have many different holster series! This article will help explain the inherent differences between them. Each series has been designed to address a specific need, so not all firearms will be available in all series. Check out our Search by Gun page to find what holsters are available for your set up and from there, it is broken down into Concealed Carry and Open Carry holsters. Please be advised that we list the options for optics as part of the firearm description if we offer it, same as the specific light or laser. If you do not see your exact model listed, it is likely we have not deemed it a good fit for our molds. Light and lasers options are found here and are based on the specific make and model of the attachment.
Cloak Series holsters refer to the thermoformed shells that use four screws to fasten the shell to a Cloak base or backer. This series is the most expansive, with over 900 different firearms accommodated including many lights, lasers and optic ready options. It is the only system to have any accommodations for revolvers. Holsters include IWB and OWB options including paddle, belt, chest, drop leg and shoulder. We also have compatible mounts for vehicles and compatible belly bands.
These holsters are passive retention only, aside from the optional thumb break on our Cloak Shoulder Holster. The retention is adjustable to be as tight or loose as desired and all holsters will come with a parts pack which contains longer and shorter screws and spacers to customize the retention. Cloak Series holsters also have Free Shell Swaps- so long as you are sticking to the same draw hand and semi-auto to semi-auto or revolver to revolver.
The ShapeShift Series of holsters are available for about 150 firearms, but is not light or laser bearing due to the retention design. The intent is to have a myriad of ways to carry using the same ShiftShell that toollessly moves from one base to another without the need to buy dedicated holsters if desired. Expansion Packs are available at a lesser price because it does not contain the ShiftShell. With the injection molded shell design, 100% of the trigger guard is covered front and back. An active retention thumb release is optional and available with most holster configurations within ShapeShift.
The exacting tolerances of the ShiftShell does not leave any forgiveness for variations in width, shape or length, as it was designed to fit like a glove for the compatible firearms. If the exact model is not listed, it has not been tested and vetted by our Research and Development Team to guarantee fitment.
These Duty Holsters have only about 2 dozen options available firearms based on law enforcement needs, but within the offerings have the options for light and optic bearing as well as Level 2 or Level 3 active retention. These holsters are designed to withstand harder treatment and conditions than other holsters. Pictured below is the Rapid Force Duty Holster Shell with a Lvl 3 retention and light bearing without the MRDS Hood.
With the Rapid Force Series, we offer a Duty Holster for Compact Weapon Lights. These holsters are Lvl 3 Retention with the MRDS Hood only.
There is also the Rapid Force LVL 2 Slim Holster, which is more compact. This holster features options for light bearing and is compatible with all other Rapid Force products. It is available for the Glock 19 and the variants listed as well as the Sig P365 and XL variants listed.
Our newest line of holsters, Photon was developed for light bearing firearms in mind but also has non-light bearing options. We have a bout a dozen shells which have been tested for about 60 different firearms. It is compatible with most optics, including co-witnessed sights, and works with threaded barrels and suppressor height sights. It is ambidextrous and can be worn IWB or OWB by changing the belt clips, which are included.
The IWB configuration has an optional claw for concealment and belt clips for 1.5 inch and 1.75 inch belts. The OWB paddle rides close to the body and will fit up to 1.75 inch belts.
The Roswell Holsters were designed to have a more traditional "pancake" or full wrap style holster for the smallest footprint possible. We have less than 30 firearms available, most with the option to have the Micro Red Dot Sight cover.
It is available as an IWB or OWB holster- the belt clip holes are not interchangeable like Photon, nor is it light bearing. The IWB holster comes with the optional claw and wedge and both holsters are adjustable in retention, ride height and cant.
The Grip Tuck Universal Holster is an IWB holster that is not model specific and is the best bet for guns that are not on the Search By Gun listings. We have many variations of the Grip Tuck based on the barrel length of the firearm and with laser bearing, if a trigger guard mounted attachment. We recommend going up one size if your barrel meets the max length for the holster. For instance, if you have a 3" barrel, you do not want to order the Micro with a 3" barrel, instead you should opt for the Subcompact for a 3.5" barrel.
The belt clip can be adjusted for ride height and cant. Because of the grippy material on the outside of the holster, the belt clip is optional. The inner lining is made of thermoplastic elastomer, so the trigger guard is protected. Please note, this holster will NOT accommodate optics of any size or shape.
The Low-Pro Belly Band Holster is a hard shell belly band for use without a belt. The shell is low profile and angled for a natural draw. It is available for about 150 firearms with a handful of light options, but does not support red dots.
This is a dedicated holster, as the bolt patterns are unique for each firearm size and cannot be transferred to other bases. This is different from the Sport Tuck Belly Band Expansion, which is just the band to hold your existing IWB holster and it not optimized for carry on the front of the body.
