Our Grip Tuck series holsters were designed with simplicity and diversity in mind while sticking to our core values of safety and comfort. We realize that there will always be pistol models that we do not and likely will not offer specific shells for. With this in mind not every pistol is identical. When you get your Grip Tuck Universal holster and you put your pistol into the holster for the first time, you may notice that the fit is a little to snug. The best indicator that your holster is too tight will be that the slide of the pistol is pushed out of battery.
To resolve this we recommend that you holster your firearm in the Grip Tuck holster and push the slide fully forward. Very much like breaking in a new baseball glove by placing a ball in the glove and rubber banding the glove around it, you will need to holster the pistol and give it as much time as you can for the Thermo-elastomer pocket to take the shape of the pistol in question. The Grip Tuck will start to retain the shape of your pistol after a day or two and the more time these two items spend together the better they will play together.
If you find that after attempting this the holster is still trying to rack the slide or the fit does not become correct and easier you may consider exchanging for the next size up or, if a single stack option was selected, consider exchanging for a double stack option of the same size within your 30 day test drive.
